DAY: 22 DECEMBER - BRUSSELS
Boarding at 6pm and settle into your cabin. Welcome cocktail and presentation of the crew in the lounge. Dinner on board and moor overnight.
DAY 2: 23 DECEMBER - BRUSSELS
Breakfast on board. Morning optional guided coach tour of Brussels, capital of Belgium including the Atomium, the Sablon district and the European district. Part of the tour is also on foot visiting Grand’Place and the famous Manneken Pis. Return to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon there is an optional coach transfer for the Christmas market in Brussels; various stalls are set around the “Place de la Bourse”, on the forecourt of the fish market and the “Place Ste Catherine”. Return on board for dinner.
DAY 3: 24 DECEMBER - BRUSSELS - ANTWERP - GHENT
Departure of the boat during the night for Antwerp with breakfast during the cruise. Arrival at around 8am. Optional guided tour of Antwerp; the walk will take you along the banks of the Schelde in the city centre, past the Butchers’ House, the City Hall and the imposing houses of the tradesmen’s guilds which bear witness to the past splendour of the Golden Age. The cathedral is home to some extraordinary works of art, including four paintings by Rubens. Return to the ship for lunch and afternoon sailing to Ghent. Christmas Eve dinner and moor overnight.
DAY 4: 25 DECEMBER - GHENT
Breakfast on board. In the morning there is an optional guided tour of Ghent. The historic heart of the city offers a remarkable variety of sites including the Saint Michel bridge, Saint Bavon cathedral and numerous remains from the Middle Ages. Return to the ship for lunch and departure of the cruise for Brussels. Dinner and gala evening on board. Sailing at night.
