Venice – Chioggia – Venice – Burano – Murano – Venice
DAY 1: 22 DECEMBER - VENICE
Check in from around 6pm at San Basilio’s quay and then set sail for the Riva 7 Martiti’s quay for the overnight stopover. Dinner on board and evening at leisure for you to explore Venice on your own.
DAY 2: 23 DECEMBER - VENICE/CHIOGGIA/VENICE
Breakfast on board and cruise through the bay of Venice to reach Chioggia mid-morning. Free time to explore the town before returning onboard for lunch. Optional guided visit to Padua in the afternoon. The town is the main setting for Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, as well as being the inspiration for famous artists, architects and sculptors. Return to Venice early evening to join the ship for dinner on board. Overnight in Venice.
DAY 3: 24 DECEMBER - VENICE/BURANO/MURANO/VENICE
Breakfast on board. Optional excursion by private boat to explore some of the lagoon islands including Burano, famous for its lacework and Murano, famous for its glasswork. Return to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon there is an optional guided visit of the Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s square, Venice’s traditional piazza. Dinner on board and visit from Father Christmas! Overnight in Venice.
DAY 4: 24 DECEMBER - VENICE
Breakfast and lunch on board and free time to explore Venice at your own pace. Venice was built in the 5th century and today is an enchanted town full of history, architecture and legend. Gala dinner followed by an evening full of dancing and entertainment. Moor overnight in Venice.
